Shadows of Support

The Lillian and Pascal Rothman Special Needs Fund for Jewish Education provides special needs children with the opportunity to experience a rich Jewish education and creates opportunities for personal growth and development. This past year, two Supplementary Hebrew Schools, Kol Ami and City Shul, received funding from the Rothman Fund, which provided three special needs children with “shadows”. Families with special needs children constantly struggle to find safe and meaningful education for their children, and providing them with a “shadow” allows parents to feel relaxed knowing their child is receiving one-on-one attention while being cared for by qualified staff.

A dynamic Jewish education strengthens our community and empowers our young people to continue learning about our colourful culture and religion, and every Jewish child deserves the chance to experience fun and enriching educational opportunities. The Lillian and Pascal Rothman Special Needs Fund helps to ensures that Jewish children can receive outstanding Jewish education to assist them in becoming valued members of our community.
